Cala del Porto Resort is located in the beautiful bay of Punta Ala looking towards the beautiful island of Elba. It is surrounded by the picturesque Tuscan landscapes of rolling hills and pine forests leading down to the crystal blue waters of the Tyrrhenian Sea.
Cala del Porto Resort offers friendly Italian hospitality, excellent dining and a sophisticated ambiance. Elegant interiors with comfortable spaces convey a home from home feel, and guest rooms and suites are decorated in a typical Tuscan style and feature views of the sea and the marina, most from a private balcony, or the lovingly grown gardens.
Our history
The resort opened in the port of Punta Ala, Tuscany in 1974 by Roberto & Lisa Polito. Their goal was to develop a unique concept of Italian excellence and hospitality. The opening of the hotel marked the inception of the story of Baglioni Hotels, a remarkable hotel chain well linked to the history of Italian style, culture & traditions.
Our mission
We’ve created a place where every guest would feel at home, or at least like staying with close friends. Our mission is to make sure our guests leave us healthier, happier and well reenergized compared to how they were upon arrival.
Uniqueness of the location
Punta Ala is famous for its sailing regattas which are held by the local Yacht Club and the well-equipped tourist port, the home of famous regatta Luna Rossa. While Punta Ala becomes a popular family destination during the summer, the place is a tourist destination of the elite in every season, thanks to its luxury residences, second homes and boats moored at the local port.
